Bottle Batch: 65/275
Year: 2013
A: A golden, yellow, somewhat transparent, pour. Head is slightly less than one finger, which briefly retains itself
S: A country funkiness as the plot thickens. Aroma has that vinous/chardonnay aspect; picking up on some sweetness, some grapes, citrus, honey, yeast, brett, oak, malt…grainy
T: Acidic, elaborate, and akin of the nose. Even more so, this presents itself as a farmhouse funk: grass, hay, straw, and barnyard. There is a fruit/tart wine ratio, a yeasty and grainy aspect, and some subtle notes of nuts, peaches, lemon and vanilla.
M: The buoyant carbonation and medium mouthfeel are prodigious accompaniments
O: Extremely well done; the chardonnay barrels make this out to be particularly multifaceted and scrumptious. Loving the grainy essence, loving the workmanship in this funky Saison
