Appearance - Pours black with thin tan head not much lacing, head settles to thin ring.

Aroma - Walnuts, brown sugar, leather, oak, bourbon, light spices. Amazing aroma smells more like a barleywine but the stout properties do come out.

Taste - Super rich flavors walnuts, pecans, caramel, toffee, oak, bourbon so tasty.

Feel - Smooth creamy full bodied soft carbonation, very warming heat from the bourbon.

Overall - Excellent beer so smooth alcohol is well hidden great flavors.

Slick ink black with a loud, fizzy tan head that is quick to recede to a fuzzy, thin ring.

Smell is toasted nuts, brown sugar, molasses and crisped up pie crust with Tootsie Roll fudge and a hint of dry cinnamon and wood. Smoky caramel arises as it warms.

Taste is Tootsie Roll, cinnamon amaretto, woody oak, well-aged and almost smoky raisin with a little spice and bourbon heat coming down the throat on the finish. Sticky toffee pudding comes to mind at room temp.

Body is slick and thin, the only knock here that is quite a persistent one with their beers, with a slight crisp fizz and a semi-dry, sticky finish.

Jackie O's again shows how their taste for blending is top notch, but I have to say I did prefer the 2015 blend more. With all the amazing stouts present in this strong cuvee, I was expecting more.

Poured from bottle into my Nut Smasher Teku glass
approx 45 degrees

Look is not quite black...some redish hues that must be from the Skipping Stone.

Aroma explodes from the bottle as soon as the cap is removed! A powerful blend of bourbons and Chocolate!!

Taste is similar w some caramel/dark fruit notes ..again must be from the Skipping Stone.
Alcohol bite at first but that fades as it warms.

12.5% but you would never know that from my Teku as it is disappearing quickly!!

Another world class beer from my friends at Jackie O!
