Attractive brown-red in appearance, clear and clean. Lots of dark, tart cherry to the nose. Taste is quite tart and barrel-forward - as in the nose, lots of cherry, a bit acidic. It's fairly dry, which is perfect - the cherry would be cloying had it not so much dryness and barrel presence.

I like this quite a lot - it's very good. Not too sour, not too tart - very pleasant.

16.9 oz bottle poured into an IPA glass.

A: Brown caramel body with fairly good clarity. Very tiny head soapy slightly brown white beer looks like it isn't carbonated.

S: lots of wine characteristics, light apple skin, vinegar, a little oak. Maybe a light caramel hints under the sour smells.

T: Light vinegar, apple, light grape, very wine forward, slightly tart but not very and absolutely no carbonation.

M: Slightly watery dead mouthfeel beer is flat.

O: It tastes like a flanders and the flavor is not bad, but that flat no carbonation is a real turn off.

Enjoyed this on draft in December 2017, reviewing now from a bottle. Pours a transparent brownish-red, with very little head to speak of. Acetic notes and fruit on the nose, with plum, black cherry, and pineapple. Flavors are muted, almost as if the beer has been diluted, given that I get almost nothing from the front palate at the start of a sip. Low carbonation also lends to this impression. Lightly tart from the acid, but less going on here than I remember from the draft.

Wow, Jackie O's drinkers really need to step up their rating and reviewing game!

Burnt copper with a creamy tan ring.

Smell is cherry, charred oak and grape gummies with a hint of black pepper.

Taste is sour grape and cherry with peppery oak. Malic acidity skirts acetic, with a nice, lightly frothy body of medium-light heft, finishing semi-dry.
