This little number was created in the infamous basement cellar/barrel program at our brewpub. An oak aged sour blond conditioned on fresh local strawberries. Beautifully tart and rife with seedy strawberry character.

A body of antiqued orange has a slight haze and is topped with a bubbly off-white collar.
The nose is strawberry jam, and there's loads of it! There's also a little of that seedy, woody funk you often get in classic strawberry sours, but there's less of it here than in some of the other intense entries of this sub-style, which is for the absolute best here. Very enticing aroma.
A bit more sour than I was expecting, but perfectly in balance between sour and funk, with that fresh strawberry jam continuing to be featured well. A spritz of lemon is added to the palate with a slight toastiness, verging from malic to acetic, yet finishing with a lactic swallow.
The body is moderate with a light froth and semi-dry finish.
The best strawberry sour I've had.
Unfortunately, 6 months down the road, it got quite a bit more sour in the bottle than it was on draft. Still good, but not as. I've got one bottle left so we'll see what even more time does to it.
