Polycephaly is the rare condition of having two heads. In partnership with Winking Lizard we present two distinct blends. Polycephaly 3 is a blend of Brandy Barrel Dark Apparition, our Cycle Brewing Collaboration, aged in cinnamon vanilla whiskey casks, and bourbon barrel Black Maple.

Muddled dark brown to black with a head that just does not want to surface at all, but for a chocolate milk-like bubbly ring.
Smell is stale, nutty wet brandy oak with Raisinettes. I just can't get over the musty, stale cardboard notes.
On the palate, a maple-bourbon sweetness joins raisin and stale wet wood. The oak blends with nutty graham biscuit and milk chocolate accents, as the brandy is the most forward barrel, coming with a substantial heat. The oak becomes more splintery and nutty as it warms, increasing flavors of milky caramel that are welcome but sporadic. However, it's oddly tangy and there's not really any cinnamon--the cinnamon vanilla whiskey barrel element was wasted on this blend, whereas Hoppin' Frog was more successful using similar barrels.
Feel is slick and silky but cut by a sharp, light carbonation that brings a burning sting before a semi-wet, slightly sticky but thin finish.
