A blend of 1 year foudre-aged and Sangiovese barrel-aged sour blonde ale conditioned on blueberries. A stunning periwinkle pigment jumps out of the glass with sweet blueberries and a complementing mineral acidity.

Clear vibrant ruby with a tall off-white to pink head that quickly fizzles out to nothing.

Sour blueberry and raspberry come with a hint of buttery pie crust as the tingly crisp effervescence settles into a smooth light body finishing semi-dry, exhaling white oak with a very faintly smoky char or tannin character.

Thanks to rudzud
Pink fizzy bubbly head fades quickly, no real lacing but a bit of legs, hazy purple brownish color, loads of sediment that settles quickly (chunks of fruit)

Nose tart sour funk, sour blond with fair acidity and bacteria, juicy blueberry and generic berry fruit, touch of grape-wine like character, touch of buttery oak

Taste very tart, souring bacteria with acetic acid, souring funk, into a little barrel note with buttery oak, light vinous wine and some juicy generic berry, blueberry is hard to pick out until the finish, big bright acidity, dry finish, as it warms a lot more blueberry skin coming through

Mouth is med bod, big acidity, higher carbonation a little effervescent, and not really flemmy

Overall pretty good, acidity gets alittle too sharp but thankfully not flemmy, blueberry is more like skin and barrel brings some interesting characters

Received in a trade and shared with JLindros

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy purple hue with a white head. Tons of sediment on the glass.

S - Aromas of funky almost blonde notes with blueberry juice and skins. Flashes of wine like aroma, nice light tartness. Smells pleasant.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of slightly sweet tart berries. Fair amount of buttery oak going on that cuts through everything. The blonde notes are nice but man does the barrel oppress!

M - Mouthfeel is brightly carbonated, crisp, clean. Quite acidic.

O - Overall this was a solid enough wild ale. The fruit is nice, however, the oak is almost overbearing.
