Coffee black with a tall foamy tan head settling to a thin film with a thick ridged collar leaving thin curly qs of lace.
Right off the bat you can tell this is a 'nilla bomb and it really surprises me to see them doing something like that.
V has a vanilla bean brownie batter nose with a touch of bourbon and barrel char.
The smooth, round, moderately full body delivers gooey, fudgy, vanilla frosted dark chocolate brownie with a light tingly fizz finishing with a mild, semi-dry heat and a faintly peppery bourbon exhale.
This is not subtle or nuanced on the pastry stout front, and I think that's a good thing for them here. Normally you're pounded by whiskey booze with their stuff, but this one is flavor to the max with some charred oak and crispy brownie crust as it warms, cut by still present but less potent whisky.
