Hop Flake is a "double dry-hopped holiday pale ale conditioned on grapefruit."

Presentation: 12 oz. bottle (bottled directly from tap) into a nonic.

A- Deep amber appearance. Pours with ~1 1/2 fingers of tan head, which fades slowly, leaving a thin cap. Ample lacing.

S- Spicy grapefruit hopiness, with hints of maltiness sneaking out as it warms slightly.

T- A fantastic marriage of grapefruit, spiciness, hoppy bitterness and malty goodness.

M- Moderate carbonation. Body outstanding. Incredibly smooth going down. Quite remarkable.

D- Extraordinary. For a session brew, this seems like the near perfect blend of flavor, feel, and ABV %. I would love to spend an evening sucking these down one after another.

Future outlook: Wow. The beers at Jackie O's make me wish that I still lived in Athens....or at least a few miles closer! Nevertheless, I will return and get more of this whenever life permits!
