A thoughtful, modern homage to our single-hop DIPAs of years past, Ritual Destruction is a pure expression of our specially-selected lot of Citra hops. Brimming with notes of candied grapefruit peel and tropical fruit, a healthy dose of flaked and malted oats dials in a fruity, fluffy experience.

12 FL.OZ. can
Served in a stemless wine glass

This beer pours a murky, dull orange hue. It is topped with a couple inches of tan head that leaves decent lacing.

Kinda sweet aroma. I get some tropical fruit notes. Some malt

Sweet upfront. Some muddled fruit flavor. Some bitterness in the finish.

Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel

Not my favorite Jackie O's hazy.

Pours a yellow orange, decent head and lots of lacing. Smells sweet, but not malty, citrus and stone fruits. There’s a nice feel to this, profile is tartly sweet, I get citrus, apple, stone fruit. Finishes very sharp …tongue dancer. Well done

On tap.

A - Medium gold color with slight haze and light lacing with low carbonation.

S - Light tropical fruit aroma. Not very pronounced.

T - Candied tropical fruit and apricot with a slight acidic sugary finish.

M - Big silky body and leaves a delicate sugary residue on the lips. The ABV is pretty well hidden in this beer.

O - Solid. Not a favorite but enjoying this beer.

I got a couple cans of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a hazy orangish with very thin white ring head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with pineapple, tangerine and apricot presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Pours a very hazy pineapple color with a creamy white head that is Velcro to the glass. The nose is all dank citrus, primarily ripe tangerine, grapefruit rind, and a nice dollop of pineapple. I am salivating.

The taste is led by the tangerine and grapefruit, with the pineapple leading to a full, creamy oat finish. Truly delicious beer.

TG’s King Sue is a single-hop DIPA featuring Citra hops, or at least it used to be (not sure if the change to hazy changed the hop profile), and this is every bit Sue’s equal. Exceptionally well done by a fantastic brewery.

Pours with a perfect orange juice like haze to it and a light, foamy head that dissipates quickly. Tropical notes on the nose. Juicy, pineapple, navel orange and a hint of stone fruit on the tongue. As it warms, the aroma and flavors really shine. This is a banging hazy imperial IPA. At 9% ABV, it will destroy!

12oz can, canned on 10-05-20, served in a tulip glass.

Appearance: Cloudy translucent yellowish orange (very close to the color of fresh squeezed orange juice) with an initial thick white head. Lots of strands and islands of persistent lacing. Really good looking beer for the style.

Smell: Strong aroma of oranges and fresh cut citrus. A bit of some underlying tropical fruit.

Taste: Surprisingly citrus-sweet and not bitter despite the all the hops. Orange/lemon blend, bready malt, citrus juicy notes, mild citrus peel bitter/tart finish.

Mouthfeel: Very smooth with some underlying prickly carbonation. Some lingering spiciness on the tongue. Some stickiness as well.

Overall / Drinkability: A pretty good version of the style with lots of hop aroma and flavor, but none of the bitter wallop you sometimes get with all those hops. Dangerously drinkable with a well hidden 9% ABV. I enjoyed sipping and savoring this and I would not mind having another.

In a style that nearly every brewer succeeds in making well, Jackie O's distinguishes themselves with truly outstanding brews.

It pours fully clouded and yellow with nice head and lacing. The smell is stinky and hoppy but not skunky - very appetizing. The taste boldly goes where many have gone but with a more powerful yet clean presentation. I want to sip it but it is just so good that I have trouble.

Highly recommended. I am glad that Jackie O's has continued to push this style to greater heights and I am glad that I got a couple to drink.

... and now I'm glad they continue to make it.

This is a nice sipper. Good value. This one is two weeks old. It is much easier drinking than most hazy ales - cleaner on the nose and palate. Delicious.
