This unique beer is a plum infused Wee Heavy that experienced a secondary fermentation from native Athens' micoflora off of the skins of the local plums. This all happened with in an American Oak barrel over the course of three months. A 10.5% one of a kind brew that embodies tart/sweet plumbs, peat-smoked Scottish ale, and second-generation bourbon barrel flavors (soft bourbon notes and some very refined oak character).

A- Pours an odd brownish red color with a pretty big foamy brown head. Quite a bit of floaters lurking though out the beer. Head has ok retention and leaves a bit of lacing.
S- Light oak, light bourbon, vanilla and some sort of sourness here, and plum.
T- This brew has a very odd sweet/sour thing going on here. I don't really think this one fits the style. A bit of wood and bourbon but a very off sour taste.
M- Medium in body, very dry and quite a bit of carbonation.
O- I had all intentions of splitting this one with the wife as we shot some pool. Well, she didn't like this brew. It took a while but I was able to finish it.

A: Black with enough thinness to see brown light through most of the flass. A little khaki trim.
S: Tartness, dark malts + faint smoke, bourbon oak, rye bread?, lots of different things going on.
T: Tartness leads the charge, albeit it very mild, smooth, and sublte. Some apple and bread. A light firmness that rises up on the finish and prickles, presumable from the peat.
M: Residual is moderate, although the tartness isn't very strong, making this very approachable throughout a sizable drink.
O: I'd say this is better suited as a wild ale, atleast at this point.

We had this beer at tasting two weeks ago at my cousin Peters place. Great beers and great fun.
This beer was poured in my Essen Christmasbeerfestivalglass (what a word for wordfeud!) Got this one in a trade month and months ago and now decided to bring this beer to the tasting.
This is not my kind of beer to start with. It is not a Scotch ale to my opinion and it is not Wee heavy.
This beer has some sourness in it which is not my cup of tea. Too bad because i have heard better things from this brewer.

I had the opportunity to try this beer at a beer tasting at my uncle Peters place. This was a bottle Thijs brought with him. Thanks Thijs for sharing.
A - A dark brown ale with a thin beige brown ring on top.
S - Sour cherries and oak enter my surprised nose.
T - Sour plumbs and other fruits are smootly present, as is the oak wood. A bummer is the sour, because I was expecting a RIS (my mistake).
M - A relative high carbonation and a lot of fruit.
O - Not my style and not my taste, but for a sour it is not so bad.
