Consumed at the brewpub in early July '10
A. Pours caramel with a thick creamy small bubble off white head that dissipates slowly leaving lots of residual lacing.
S. Honey, flowers, and sweet malt.
T. Honey, flowers, nuttiness, and a balanced level of hoppy bitterness.
M. Medium to thick body with a high level of small bubble carbonation.
D. Delicious and interesting. A nice balanced beer that I could drink all night.

Note: Brewed with Macadamia nuts & honey.
On tap in a pint glass at the brewpub on 7/3/10
A - Dark amber; hazy. 1/2 inch head thins quickly. Just a skim of retention but lacing is rather good.
S - Dense citrus & pine aroma. Nutty overtones & a mild honey sweetness. Touch of caramel.
T - Dank, meshed hop flavor - piney bitterness with some citrus thrown in. Not overly juicy though; instead tending toward sharp & dry bitterness. Toasty caramel malts. Macadamia doesn't seem too pronounced, opting for a slight earthy nuttiness. Wisps of honey move in on the finish.
M - Medium body with appropriate carbonation - smooth with just a touch of prickliness. Gritty. Pine bitterness on the finish with the aforementioned honey. Touch of aspirin too; meh.
D - Overall, not bad. Can't say the macadamia nuts & honey leave make for a distinctive IPA, but it is interesting.
