On tap in a pint glass at Bodega on 8/31/10
Hazy amber with a gradient change to pineapple. One finger head with ok retention & good lacing initially. Thin retention & nice, webbed lace.
Smells bizarre in a good way, like baked apple pie & cinnamon. Wet, floral hop notes & a peppering of zest.
This certainly tastes wet & fresh. Lots of floral hops with herbal hints & subtle orange peel. Bitterness is moderate. Lightly toasted & pale malts in back.
The feel is juicy; the body is medium-light. Carbonation is appropriately low; it's a pretty smooth beer. Rather clean finish; dry citrus peel & zest.
This is a really enjoyable beer. It seems to straddle style lines between APA & IPA. Very nice.
