Brewed to honor the annual German Märzen brewing tradition, Pipapo features the best European malt and hops available. Extensive cold-lagering refined Pipapo to deliver notes of freshly baked bread, nutty toffee, and subtle German hops. Pipapo translates to “frills” in English, and our team applied extra diligence in crafting this homage to one of our favorite lager styles.

Many thanks to my co-worker, Zach, for this can!
A - Pours a dark medium copper caramel color with uber-thin lacing and light carbonation
S - Big bread crust, toasted caramel / toffee and a little bit of nuttiness on the nose. Overal aroma = bready.
T - Follows the nose to a "T" with big bready / breadcrust, toasted caramel & toffee malt base all with a slight bit of nuttiness and light earthy bitterness to balance things out nicely.
M - Big silky body with some residual prickly carbonation on the backside. There's a little bit of wetness on the back of the tongue but overall, finishes surprisingly dry.
O - Ya know what? This is a style I don't normally seek out but this is a really enjoyable beer and would definitely go for it again.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a clear copper with off white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had nice caramel malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base and subtle hop bitterness on the finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
