Light amber in color and very cloudy. Nice little touch of white on the top as well that reached a heightof around an inch before settling back down. Light grain aroma with hints of spice and light fruits was welcoming, albeit a touch light for me. Smooth, mellow, and a bit bland on the taste. Lots fo pepper like taste tried to cover up a lack of depth and an otherwise slightly bland overall vibe

On tap in a pint glass at Bodega on 8/23/11
Super murky, orange-sickle brown color. Appears to be sediment-laden. Basically no head. No retention but a few spots of lace.
Aromas of earthy hops and tea leaves. Watery caramel. Floral. Touch of Belgian yeast spice and fruits. Tastes earthy with a modest hop bitterness. Spicy nips and some toastiness. Light fruit - banana and pear. Medium-light body with lively carbonation. Spicy finish with residual bitterness.
Overall impression - it's better than Firefly Amber, but it's far from remarkable.

On tap at Jackie O's.
Pours a moderate amber color with a good white head and a bit of light lacing as it heads down the glass. The nose carries a bit of lightly-sweet and toasted bready malt. Lingering light earthy/floral hop scent in the background. The flavor is lightly sweet with some bready notes. Some hops are there, but nothing overpowering. As it warms, a bit of banana in both the nose and flavor. Well balanced and pretty drinkable. Light to medium body with a smooth finish. Good carbonation. Not quite as out-of-the-park as the dubbel and tripel, but still quite good.
