Had this the night before the June 25th release. Received in a snifter.
4.0 A: Black color. Came with just a touch of super creamy head.
4.0 S: Light roastiness, lots of milk chocolate, sweet caramel, and overally grainy vibe.
4.5 T: Pleasantly roasty with an intense milk chocolate flavor. Sweet overall with lots of dark crystal malts. Rich and full flavored.
4.5 M: Heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Super creamy. Excellent.
4.5 D: One of the best JO's brews I've had. Nothing wrong with this.

An amped up version of Drawn and Portered.
Appearance
This beer looks heavy, clearly one of Jackie O's biggest porters. It's dark, but has red edges. There are a few fleeting wisps of foam that float on top.
Aroma
Very ashy. Roasted, charred and smokey malts. At times the beer smells like cigarettes or cigars. The core has coffee and dry cocoa.
Taste
Dense coffee kicks things off. The beer doesn't taste as ashy as it smells, but there is a considerable level of char, smoke and ash.
Mouthfeel
Yeah, this IS one of Jackie O's biggest porters. Totally full bodied with noticeable alcohol. The beer is not hot, but can be warming. The carbonation is low, allowing the beer to flow smoothly.
Overall
One of the better porters I've had from Jackie O's. This one is clearly an amped up version of their standard porter. Good stuff.
