Not sure who shared this at the Neurotone bottle tasting shindig. Served in a tulip. Apparently this is the second runnings of Oil of Aphrodite.
A - A nice voluminous tan foam settles to a wispy partial cap, thick collar, and spotty lace. Very dark brown body.
S - Big yeasty bread, molasses, chocolate, nuts. Pretty impressive flavor for only 6% - I initially thought this was an Oil of Aphrodite variant from the aroma, and not a small beer.
T - Unfortunately, the flavor reveals that this is a small beer with a bit of chalkiness and burnt malt flavor behind the cocoa powder, sugar malts, and roast nuts.
M - I initially thought this was a bit thin, but that was before I knew it was only 6%. It's plenty big for a regular stout, with lower carbonation, and a nice chewy texture to it.
D - A very good small beer that I enjoyed quite a bit - I had a few glasses of this one throughout the evening, and it's got tons of flavor for only 6%. Hopefully this gets made each time Jackie O's pumps out a new batch of Oil of Aphrodite.

Slots of great coffee and some walnuts...
T-follows the nose. Awesome coffee and a little bit of a nutty finish
M-medium body and smooth
O- very good. Taking growlers home with me!
