Brewed with Choice English barley, heritage English caramel malts, and fine English aroma hops, Part of Eternity imbues a true English style Barleywine. Aged in a blend of bourbon barrels for 25 months, this offering carries assertive notes of sweet caramels, stewed dark fruits, and a wonderfully rich mouthfeel.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter via The Little Lady's Daughter and her Beau! Cheers Jeanette and Jamie!
This BEAST pours a muddled dark brwon with light tea highlights and a moderate head of khaki foam
that subsides to a thin ring, thin dusty layer, and displays some nice legs with a sip and swirl. Nose of
heavy bourbon, oak, vanilla, toffee, rich caramel, dates, figs, and vanilla dashed with brown sugars.
Flavors follow the nose with some exceptions. Waves of bourbon and vanilla crash into rich
caramel and brown sugars, sweet dates, figs, raisin bread, rich toffee, and subtle cherry.
Mouth feel is medium, warming, smooth as silk, light to subtle carbonation, and a sweet
finish that is not cloying.
Overall, a LOT going on with this one but at the same time it is just great layers of bourbon
over a solid barleywine recipe.
The good folks at Jackie O's know barrel aging well and this is no exception!
Fantastic!
Cheers

Lots of good stuff going on here, caramel drizzled figs soaked in bourbon, quite a sweet treat. In the background though is kind of medicinal root beer, faint but a bit distracting. Very good overall though.
