This behemoth stout was brewed with a mélange of wheat malts contributing a rich and decadent mouthfeel that carries through the entirety of the palate. A hefty addition of brown sugar marries with dark crystal malts for a depth of caramel and toffee notes. This batch was aged in all Heaven Hill casks with the majority being 20 year bourbon barrels, that imbue a hefty, round and slightly funky well-aged spirit character!

Look - black and thick with a great lasting thick frothy sticky tan head
Smell - barrel, roasted malts, slightly sweet, maybe a little brown sugar
Taste - Barrel, caramel, sweet brown sugar, roasted malts
Feel - full body but expecting a little more for this high abv beer. Lighter carb
Overall - outstanding beer

Poured from a twelve ounce can, the body is black with a wee dark tan head.
Aroma is bourbon barrel, sweet and boozy. It ought to be boozy after 29 months aging in bourbon barrels.
Taste follows nose as the bourbon is up front. There is a heavy malt bill that cut the booze but not the bourbon flavor. There's plenty of brown sugar in the mix and as it warms a nice lightly sweet grain flavor that pairs well with the bourbon. ABV is ridiculously hidden in this big stout.
Mouthfeel is heavy, very viscous and coating after warming. There is virtually no carbonation. Perhaps a wisp.
Another big heavy bourbony sipping stout from Jackie O’s. I never tire of them.

Surprised at how drinkable this is, despite the 15.1% ABV. Pours a deep chestnut with scant head formation. Thick, glugging, menacing pours. Aroma is mostly subdued, but perhaps a subtle licorice. Flavor is an interesting mix of sweetness, slight tannins, and a heavy dark malt base. Mouthfeel leaves a stickiness that is pleasant. The wheat profile is there, sort of vying for recognition from the dark base. Drinks like a 10% or less stout. Quite nice overall.
