Dark App put into a 7 gallon bourbon barrel with cherries added. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tasting glass.
3.5 A: Black color. Couldn't muster much of a head.
3.5 S: This is the only nano at this release without a hint of diacetyl. Smells like regular Dark App with a light leathery bourbon component. Unfortunately, the cherry doesn't fit into the mix well. A light tartness isn't a welcomed newcomer.
3.5 T: Again, this is Dark App with light bourbon and some tart cherry. Pleasantly chocolatety, supple roast, light coffee. Good here, but the cherry distracts from all the good stuff.
3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation with a light creaminess.
3.5 D: No improvement over the regular, but interesting a worth a try.
