Received in a 4 oz. taster glass. This is a stout at around 8 or 9% (I think) brewed with hazelnuts, chocolate, and honey.
3.5 A: Black color. Came without a head.
4.5 S: Supple roastiness. Hazelnuts pop with lots of chocolate. Touch of honey and deep caramel. This is a lot like Oil, which is of course a good thing.
4.0 T: Drier than I was expecting. Roasty with a big graininess. Chocolate and hazelnuts dominate again. Honey is on the weaker end.
3.5 M: Ligher medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Not bad, but could be creamier.
4.0 D: Tasty beer, but it lives in the shadow of Oil as far as I'm concerned.
