I have never tried anything from Resolute Brewing. Prying the cap off, a huge waft of smoke released from the opening. I am using a Belcher glass and serving the beer at the temperature of 44 degrees. The pour created a frothy, creamy, two-fingered light tan with exceptional retention. The slow dissipation left chunks of lacing on the glass. The color is dark brown with a reddish cherry wood hue, charting at SRM 24, and is transparent.
Upon nosing the glass, a bewitching exhibition of aromas unfolds. Notes of smoked malts, Maillard, dark roasted malts, light herbal, dark toasted bread crust, malty sweetness, caramel, raisins, leather, and earthiness.
Sipping the beer, I taste notes of Maillard, campfire, smoke malts, dark roasted malts, dark toasted pumpernickel, floral, caramel, light malty sweetness, and a light tobacco note.
The mouthfeel of the beer is crisp and dry, with a finish. The body is medium-light and has medium carbonation.
Final Thought: I enjoyed sipping on this beer; the smoke is not overbearing. A solid beer from Resolute Brewing, a fantastic start at the beginning of this 4th of July weekend.

Canned 12/8/24. Drank 1/13/25
Pour is a crystal clear copper with a moderate lightly khaki head. Not much lacing or retention.
Nose is heavy on smoked malt, campfire, bacon.
Taste follows, but more balanced. Smoked malt upfront, but then eases into rich, toasted, malty notes. cracker, moderately sweet nutty character. Complex and enjoyable.
Full bodied, easy to drink. Moderate to moderately high carbonation.
Overall a very enjoyable beer. But I like smoked beers.
