500ml bottle from Newcastle:
Clear, pale copper amber with a thin, foamy head that's an off-white that holds well enough to cover the surface. The nose is a mix of whisky, sweet malts & lots of peat but it's not a pleasant one. The taste is very strong with too much whisky & alcohol grains showing, its quite well carbonated but the balance is poor. There was a little sweetness showing with the taste but there wasn't a huge amount else going on really; it's a strong & very harsh beer that I struggled to finish.

From a tall brown bottle, this brew is a clear gold color. Slim white head. The aroma has whiskey and caramel. Some smoke and candy. Light hop notes. The taste is balanced, but the body is thinner than necessary. Just okay.

Shared 330 ml bottle, 8% ABV. Deep golden colour. Strange aroma, fusel notes, hints of vanilla and oak. Flavour of peated whisky and smoke, mid between dry and sweet. Drinkable, but did not blow my socks off.
