Red Dragon Brewery

 

Located on one of the main ways to downtown Fredericksburg, the brewery is in a nicely rehabbed (I think) building. Parking is good on the weekends and evening. The invite food trucks to park and serve. Not a bad choice! Nice variety of ales on tap although they seem to focus, this week at least, on the heavier, higher alcohol types - I ook forward to a variety of session beers this summer (hopefully). Pleasant folks at work. Great feeling in the place!

 

Nice place selling traditional English-style ales. Occasionally brews a non-traditional beer like a NE DIPA. Relaxed, decent vibe with about 4-6 beers on tap.

 

I've lived here 40 years but have only been to this bar once because the area has grown so exponentially you cant get around anymore. The vibe here is incredible as you have retirees in the sleepy local area and college students hitting the place up as soon as it opens. I love seeing 70 year old retired hard working alcoholics bring thier wives to a brewpub at 4 pm and grab all the seats. Fun for them and the true locals. Brew was above average for the area standard and the location has the potential to revive the mega sleepy area its in.
