This beer must have been entirely re-tooled since the previous reviews/ratings. It is now 12.5% .abv, there are no funky banana esters and it tastes very much like a Russian Imperial Stout!!!! Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer features a big frothy off-while/light tan head (much bigger than you would expect with a 12.5% .abv beer). There are patchy bands of foamy lacing on the glass. The aroma and flavor include lots of bready malt and a vinuous/Port Wine aspect like a good RIS. Mouthfeel is rich and there is some alcohol "burn"/harshness. This beer could easily be aged to provide a smoother presentation. In all, I liked it. Could have a more complex flavor profile, but it was still good"as is".

Poured from the can into a nonik pint glass.
Muted notes of dark walnut brown body color, with basic fleeting tan head. Manages a nice simple collar for the final appearance, and a whispy stared top. Decent looker.
Aroma is high on real fusel, and almost malt liquor like sugary booze. Lots of artificial sensing banana syrup flavor. Slightly chemical touching, quite a bit of fusel heat coming off this also.
Palate is just plain weird. First note is more of that sweet and boozy sensing banana character. What yeast was in this? Light bodied but with porter mouthfeel, but hits boozy uncontrolled heat. Finish manage to save the beer. There's a real nice touch of dark cocoa and even some classic char-ed malt with a charcoal tinge. But the boozy odd banana flavor is inescapable.
Very odd for a porter, even an imperial one. Just barely drinkable.

There is a white box on the label that states: "CANNED ON 12/09/2019"
Appearance: The body is a very dark brown with some light shining through at parts. The head is a tan color with a bit of a yellow-brown appearance. The head is also short and fluffy, lasting only a short while before fading to a ring and some small foamy rafts. No real lacing.
Aroma: The beer has a bit of a banana chip aroma, and a hint of clove. At times it smells a bit like nail polish remover or acetone.
Taste: Up front there is a bit of banana flavor which mimics the aroma, then there is a bit of caramel sweetness in the middle. It has an alcohol and nail polish remover flavor that shortly follows. The aftertaste has some coffee character and just a hint of cocoa.
Mouthfeel: It is full bodied and fairly smooth.
Overall: The quality of the beer was a poor due to the unwanted banana chip, clove, and acetone-like characters. I would pass on it if given the opportunity to drink it again and I wouldn't recommend it. It's drinkable but not enjoyable.

Poured a brown body with minimal head and lace around glass. Roasted malts with touches of bitter chocolate and toffee in the aroma. Bit boozy with roasted bitter chocolate and toffee sweetness with dry finish. Balance is there and an interesting high alcohol porter.
