Dude Blanket is back and juicier than ever, dude! One of our few repeat hazy IPA recipes, Dude got some updates as part of our never-ending pursuit of IPA perfection. With fewer IBUs, a splash of wheat, new yeast, and a more complex hop bill, we think the return of Dude will make you feel more warm and fuzzy than your favorite blanket! Citra, Ekuanot, Centennial, and Mosaic hops combine with our house kveik strain for a big fruity nose with herbal undertones. The super creamy mouthfeel gives a filling impression despite low residual sugar. The Dude is back!

The pour is a hazy orange color. The taste is grapefruit, guava, & orange. Cheers! A-

Can dated 08/06/2019.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a very nice looking burnt orange hazy color, nice and thick. A finger's worth of white foamy head slowly dissipating to leave a fine lace running nicely all around, some messiness.
The aroma had a practically perfect mango to pineapple semi-juicy to bittersweet hop character intertwining all throughout each other. Ever so slight touch of biscuit malt underneath.
The flavor yielded to an extremely well done balance of bittersweet mango to pineapple coated biscuits. Soft aftertaste of pineapple and a touch of sweet lemon.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Good low carbonation. Wonderful smoothness without any cloying qualities. No hop burn whatsoever. Soft finish of mango flesh, pineapple juice and lemon sweetness.
Overall, so glad to have an Oozlefinch beer! This was absolutely legit! I'm looking forward to trying more by these guys.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned February 11th 2019.
A muddy nearly turbid, but swampy brown looking body color that is not really giving the eye candy here. Head creation is a good soapy mix with some retention, just eeking out about three fingers with a bright white color. Lots of big bubbled lacing as well which is interesting to say the least.
Hop forward but not really juicy sensing. Much more of a big baby aspirin quality. Sense of dry chalk, with only a touch of pineapple like dry hops coming out faintly.
Palate makes some better improvements. Just a hair of light body to this on the mouthfeel, flirting with an almost wet session like feel. Surprisingly unexpected hop flavor than the nose would indicate. Good amounts of bitterness with a much more fruitier flavor, ranging from pineapple to an almost Hawaiian fruit punch, and mixing of green herbs. A lot of that herbality rolls out on the aftertaste, with hints of spicy mint and black pepper.
A pretty odd and very unique IPA, but the style is sort of all over the place and a bit jarring to my senses. It's still at least a drinkable IPA in a very crowded field.

The "best before" date on the bottom of the can is not legible.
Appearance: The body of the beer is completely opaque with a beige color. It has a large fluffy white head that has very good retention.
Aroma: There is a nice mango-like aroma. It smells like blended up mangos.
Taste: It has an onion and garlic savory taste. There is a slight grassy finish.
Mouthfeel: It feels full in the mouth, pretty smooth, low-to-moderate bitterness. It's not a particularly easy beer to drink given its weightiness on the back of the palate.
Overall: It's a good stab at the New England IPA. The aroma was good and it had some good flavors. While this beer wouldn't be my first choice, I would still drink it. I do recommend it.
