From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 121320018 1410"
Appearance: It has an opaque light beige or milky orange and tan color. There is a medium-sized fluffy white head with very good retention and lacing. When opening the can there was some kind of white fleck floating on the surface but there doesn't appear to be anything floating in the beer.
Aroma: The beer has a nice sliced mango scent with a bit of tangerine. It smells a bit like a fruit cup.
Taste: The beer has a pretty awkward taste to it. It is a bit grainy tasting with a strong alcohol presence and what tastes like cedar wood.
Mouthfeel: Bitterness is moderate with some light rasp. It has more bitterness than the normal New England IPA. It feels a bit dry and chalky on the finish.
Overall: The beer starts out with promise, looking and smelling nice, but it drops off quickly from there. The flavor just doesn't fit with the style and it feels harsher than one would expect for the style as well. It's not a bad beer by any means and it is drinkable but it isn't something I would recommend or drink again.
