From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 10092018 144B"
Appearance: The body is black and it has a light tan head. The cap is somewhat frothy and it has moderate retention.
Aroma: It smells a bit like coffee with a slightly earthy note. There is a touch of chocolate in the aroma as well.
Taste: It has a bit of burnt sugar and coffee flavor with a hint of dark chocolate at the end.
Mouthfeel: It drinks clean and easy with a smooth medium-light body.
Overall: The can describes this as a "TROPICAL STOUT ALE." A tropical stout is not common to begin with, and it might be even less common to see it brewed with an ale yeast rather than a lager. This beer certainly drinks very clean for an ale and it could easily be mistaken for a lager. I enjoyed it and I would drink it again. I would recommend it.
