This is one of the strongest tasting, most sour of the Oozlefinch beers I have had so far. The can says "Sour ale with pear, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla and lactose." Poured from a 16oz. can into a tulip glass. This beer features a hazy apricot color with a huge fizzy white head. The head fades away very quickly and there is no lacing on the glass. The sourness, cinnamon and ginger hit hard in the aroma. You know this one is going to make you pucker....but not in a bad way. The flavor is very pronounced. The fruit juice (pear) is in the background and the three ingredients from the aroma are featured. Very sour...not vinegary like a Rodenbach sour but still very sour. The flavors are very strong and blend in nicely with the sourness. Mouthfeel features sourness, tartness and spices. Your tongue gets a workout with this one!!!!! This is not a session beer but a good one to sip slowly and appreciate!!!
