Sour Ale with Oak Chips, Agave, Lime, Coconut, Pineapple, Blue Spirulina, Lactose, and Vanilla

Another new series for you guys! This one is inspired by the oh-so-famous punch bowls provided at frat parties. The first beer in the series will take you back to summer days of sipping on a fruity cocktail by the water. Bursting with tropical fruit aroma and pouring a teal blue, this exciting and fun sour would be perfect at any party.

This is one hell of an adjunct list. Basically, an oak-conditioned margarita-inspired kettle sour with a few extra flavors thrown in for good measure. I'm really wondering how (or if) this will play out, but I was immediately drawn into this beer the second I started reading the can at the store. Let's dive right in

Pours an opaque greenish gold with a finger of short lived white head that fades to a ring and leaves no lacing

The nose here is pretty much a mish mash of everything in this beer, nothing really dominant. I'm picking up on aromas of key lime, graham cracker, vanilla oak, tart pineapple, and a touch of agave

It's pretty much the same in taste, a bit muted and not all that tart sadly. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting sweet vanilla, key lime, and coconut. The swallow brings notes of tart lime, general tropical fruit, subtle oak, and agave on the aftertaste

A medium full body and almost no carbonation results in a rather heavy sour beer that's only light in the last second. Finishes slightly sticky with a slight tartness

This one was just okay. Way too heavy for what it is, and I think bringing it down in abv would've greatly improved the feel and taste. Oh well, it was worth a shot
