I don't see a date on the can, but there is a QR code to a website saying: "12-16-2021"
Appearance: It has an opaque body that has a murky dull purple color. A head quickly fills the glass with large bubbles then rapidly drops down to nothing, leaving no lacing or real head. No retention.
Aroma: There is this very strong acidic smell as soon as the beer is poured. Getting close to the glass I got a massive hit of CO2 burn on the nose which made me nearly drop the glass. Be very careful with this beer. After airing out the beer a bit, there was a hint of vinegar scent.
Taste: Up front there is a bit of this banana and very green apple flavor. The beer is extremely acidic and it destroys the tongue when passing over the palate. It has a strong burning sensation towards the back of the mouth. It's very hard to pick up flavors in this beer due to the strong acidity, but there is a bit of applesauce that comes through.
Mouthfeel: As previously mentioned in the taste, it is highly acidic to the point where it burns the mouth and throat to drink. I don't know what's going on here but it's extremely acidic and very undrinkable.
Overall: It was a pretty horrible beer. The massive CO2 burn on the nose, coupled with the extremely high acidity, makes this beer something I would not want to finish. The can states that this is a "SOUR ALE WITH ACAI PUREE, STRAWBERRY PUREE, BLUEBERRY PUREE, WILD FLOWER HONEY, VANILLA, AND MILK SUGAR." The beer has a bit of applesauce flavor that comes through between massive swaths of acid burn, but nothing else. I would not buy this beer again and it is unlikely that I will buy any of the other "Party Dinosaur" beers based on this experience. I would highly recommend against drinking this. Maybe it could be used to clean the battery contacts in a vehicle but other than that there's nothing else I would do with this beer but pour it down the drain.
