I don't see a date listed on the can. There is a QR code that Oozlefinch uses but it has been out of date for over 2 years.
Appearance: It has a purple and pink colored body that looks a bit like ruby red grapefruit. It is mostly opaque but there is a bit of light and shadow that comes through near the smaller portions of the glass where it tapers. It is a bit like looking through a gummy bear. It starts out with a very fizzy purple head that is medium-short in size and it fizzles out very fast. No lacing or head retention. The color of the beer is nice.
Aroma: It has a very fruity aroma when the beer is first entering the glass. It has a nondescript but obvious berry aroma that pops out of the glass at arms length. Closer inspection reveals a scent that is similar to a Fruit Roll-Up or Juicy Fruit gum. It smells like strawberry and it has a bit of raspberry aroma. It's a really nice smelling beer.
Taste: It tastes like eating a Fruit Roll-Up. There is some strawberry and raspberry flavor that stays flat and consistent all the way from the tip of the tongue to the back of the palate. It is a medium strength fruit flavor that fits perfectly, giving just enough flavor to make it taste great but not too much to be overwhelming. The flavor doesn't change at all, but the aftertaste has a light vanilla character that creeps in just as the fruit flavor is fading. It's a really tasty beer.
Mouthfeel: It is light bodied and very drinkable with a good balance of sweetness and tartness. Carbonation feels very good. It is a very refreshing beer.
Overall: The label on the can states that this is a "FRUITED SOUR WITH STRAWBERRY PUREE, KIWI PUREE, RASPBERRY PUREE, BLACKBERRY PUREE, GRAHAM CRACKER, AND VANILLA BEAN." The strawberry, raspberry, and the vanilla flavors come through but the other ones don't. The blackberry could be contributing to the aroma but the kiwi and graham cracker seem absent. This really doesn't matter too much because the beer itself smells and tastes great. It's very enjoyable to drink.
This would be a great beer to take on a picnic or to have at a gathering with other people where you might want a beer to relax but also enjoy something that is a bit sweet and fruity. I would highly recommend it and I would definitely buy it again.
