Copenhagen 21/4 2019. 50 cl bottle from Øhandleren from Give (web-shop). Slightly too old (expiry date February 2019). Chubby bottle with small serious-looking label.
Pours slightly unclear golden yellow with medium-sized white head. Settles as very thin and patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense, sweet and candy-like. Marzipan, brown sugar, light roast, licorice (of the sweet variety), wood and whiskey.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, sticky texture.
Flavor has strong, sugary sweetness followed by a very moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering.
This is a strong and very sweet beer. It is quite easy to miss the first part because of the last part.

From Saveur Biere. In Teku glass. Playing Gelyu. Not bad, but the soft wood notes takes control of all and there isnt much trace of a belgian profile as one could expect from a Leffe.
