Abbaye de Leffe S.A. "Leffe Ambrée"
75 cl brown glass bottle coded "Best before: 17/01/2027 32 2 01:56"
€3.99 @ Eurospar, Ravenna, IT
Look: It's a clear dark amber in a full glass beneath a thumb's width of off-white foam that holds well and leaves some very nice lacing behind. In a smaller glass, or when held to the light, there are golden and orange highlights.
Smell: Clean. Bready and lightly fruity with perhaps an edge of yeasty spiciness.
Taste: It's malty, bready/toasty, and caramelish with both golden and medium caramel. Fruity notes of a drier and less sweet apple, some fallen/bruised apple, golden raisins, dark raisins, mild green banana, fig, and a clove-like spiciness round it out and give it liveliness and complexity. A median bitterness balances it from start to finish, and then rises in the finish with some woodiness and mineral/earthiness emerging and lingering.
Feel: Medium bodied and crisp with a fine-bubbled carbonation.
Overall: Some might balk at my scoring for this beer because it's really a rather basic ale but it has complexity and nuance that keeps it interesting throughout, and a really nice balance that lends it great drinkability. It's not my favorite beer from the Leffe line-up to be sure but I can't argue against it in any way. Superb!

Poured from the 330ml bottle into a large wine glass in Kigali, Rwanda. The beer is indeed a nice reddish orange amber color with a large format off-white head. The smell is relatively light and fruity with some citrus inside, next to some honey and maybe pear. Slight Belgian yeast throughout alongside some candy. Taste is somewhat sweet, brown sugar and honey with a toasty backbone. There is some citrus inside, but more spicy bready notes. This is a nice change up and a kind of different offering from Leffe. Solid.

It appears of an amber colour, under a head of foam persistent on average, with large grain.
Aroma of yeast, honey, chestnut and orange (banana in the distance).
Taste of orange, bitter, malt, crust of roasted bread; alcohol arises in the background. The aftertaste is spicy (maybe cloves).
It is a buttery beer, not particularly carbonated.

Bottle at Las Buenas Pulgas, poured into a Chimay glass. Amber reddish colour, medium head and retention, fading to a permanent layer. Creamy lacing. Aroma of caramel, nuts, spices. Sweet but not overwhelming. Medium body, creamy texture, good carbonation. Sweet finish. Taste of caramel, nuts, bananas, spices. Lovely.

De Hipercor. En copa Grimbergen. Jugando a Avernum 6. Acaramelada, con algunas notas a cascara de naranja y mermelada pero en general aburrida y algo peleona. Para esto mejor su blonde habitual
