Canned 08/24/18
Appearance - Pours semi-clear with a white, finger width head. Fair retention before dying down to a thin, broken layer of suds and thickening up around the edge of the glass. Some broken webbing, lines and spotting make up the lace.
Smell - Citrus and peach primarily, with hints of pine and lightly toasted bread.
Taste - Follows the nose. Citrus and peachy upfront before some earthy dank pine subdues the sweetness, peaking mid-taste before giving way to some stonefruit pit nuttiness. Bready malts sit beneath. Finish finds notes of orange zest, stonefruit pit, light, dank pine and a continuing bready malt backbone.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth, easy drinker that finishes slightly dry.
Overall - A really tasty West Coast DIPA that isn't quite as dominant with the dank qualities as the name suggests. Lots of depth in flavor with good balance. I can have more?
