Canned 10/23/18
Appearance - Pours lightly hazy and golden orange in color with an off-white, half finger width head that fizzes away almost as soon as the pour is done, leaving a mostly barren surface with a few small islands of suds in the center and a razor thin ring around the edge of the glass. A few lines and small spots make up a minimal lace.
Smell - Black cherry fruitiness, citrus hoppiness and some mild wheat.
Taste - Follows the nose. Citrus hop punch upfront and throughout with lesser black cherry frutiness. Light hint of wheat and lightly toasted grain malt sit beneath. Finish has a mild tartness and acidity with lingering citrus and black cherry.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-Medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick texture with a hint of creaminess. Semi-dry finish.
Overall - Tasty, but not really a Milkshake IPA as I've come to know them. Thinner than expected, with very little creaminess and no notes of vanilla.
