On tap at Beer Revolutions
Appearance- Pours a ruddy copper brown with a 1/4 finger width of creamy head.
Smell- Earthy, piney hops, citrus, caramel malts.
Taste- Hops are moderate with slight citrus. Slight hint of caramel. Refreshing with pleasant bitterness at the end.
Mouthfeel- Medium bodied with light carbonation. Slightly creamy.
Overall- A refreshing Imperial Red Ale by Yukon Brewing. Nice to see the expansion into this style. I enjoyed the earthy hop bitterness but in my opinion it is not quite "imperial". It is on the cusp of being so. Otherwise, a good brew and definitely worth a try.

A small pint at Beer Revolution.
This beer appears a dark, glassy amber hue, with one broad finger of thin creamy ecru head, which leaves a solid wall of painted lace around the glass as it steadily recedes.
It smells of caramel malt, and leafy, grassy citrus hops. The taste is big caramel/toffee malt, some warm vanilla, and nicely bitter citrus, pine, and floral hops.
The carbonation is fairly sedate, the body a solid medium weight, and smooth amongst a prickly usurper. It finishes quite in line, the malt and heady hops not ceding any ground just yet.
Well, not quite 'Imperial', but moving strongly in that direction. A full-flavoured, malty, hop-strewn red ale. Ain't nothin' wrong with that.
