Appearance: black in color with a 1" head that slowly falls to a thin surface foam. Some lace develops.
Smell: mild roasted tones is all you can detect.
Taste: roasted malts, grapefruit, spicy rye, and a bit of earthiness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp from start to finish.
Overall: a good rye ale that is satisfying.
