22 ounce wax capped bottle, 2017 vintage, bottle #764/1048 purchased at the brewery/taproom about a month ago (I believe this was a March 2017 release). Served in a thistle glass, the beer pours dark brown with a bit of a reddish tinge. There's a long lasting light tan head, and also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is subtle at first but gets stronger as the beer warms. The brew smells like toffee, bourbon, caramel and some dark fruit. The taste has more kick to it, there's toffee, caramel, vanilla, bourbon, dark fruit, and earthy flavors noticeable. This isn't a barrel bomb, but the bourbon aroma/flavor is there. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. Certainly worth a try! Also, it's worth stopping in if you're in the area as I liked the other brews I tried when I was at the taproom.
