October 14th, 2016 - The lighting in the brewery today perfectly lights up this brunette brew, giving contoured edges, almond in color, and highlights the cream colored head. The coffee - provided by Swift - is clearly apparent on the nose, rich and almost fruity. The flavor is smooth even with a pinch of that coffee bitterness, almost like it's been served on nitro. Lovely aftertaste too, shifting from the complex coffee notes to the straight forward simpleness of an Irish stout, leading with a crisp, dry smack.
