October 14th, 2016 - Another lighter beer following the Berliner Weisse, this smells oddly smokey, with light touches of ginger or candied ginger. Not a pairing I expect in anything edible or drinkable, let alone in a witbier. I also am not sure I enjoy it, but it's spared by the flavor which relies much more on the ginger to carry the experience. The body is capable of supporting it as well, with more of the clear, crystallized diner note on the aftertaste, acting as an elegant palate cleanser.
