Had on tap at the brewery
On arrival a one finger fine white head that dissipated to a decent ring but not much else. Body has a light chill haze with a low amount of carbonation. No lacing.
Aroma is definitively German, but the srong smell with a slight amount of sulfur suggests it could've been lagered longer. A very crackery malt dominates, true to style. Simple grainy and relatively light.
Taste is a good bit cleaner than the aroma with a light but present noble hop earthy flavor that goes into a biscuity light malt that is quite crisp.
Feel is dry but full bodied. A medium finish that takes over your whole palate with dry malts but is quite refreshing is present.
Overall this is a helles all right. Clean and crisp, but maybe should've been aged a bit longer. True to style.
