16oz. can into a Side Project snifter.
Pours pitch black, thick, and rich with a 1 finger mocha-colored head. Thin legs with spotty lace. Nose is cocoa powder, roasted malt, liquorice, and espresso. Solidly aromatic. Beer opens cocoa powder dusted truffle, semi-sweet chocolate, and a lactose creaminess. A light roasty tartness in the middle with liquorice and more cocoa at the end. I love that this isn't sweet at all. Great balance. Body is medium to full with low carbonation. Smooth and soft on the palate and goes down lightly tart, dry, and with a long aftertaste. Super drinkable.
