Copenhagen 6/12 2024. 47,3 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Root + Branch' usual austere white and black designn with what looks like a detonating egg.
Pours opaque hazy and a bit dirty golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as uneven and lumpy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, fermented, fruity and boozy odor mingling with a more subdued scent of citrus fruit and pine trees. Fermented peach and mango. Grapefruit and resin.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, a bit viscous, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry with a boozy touch.
Pretty good for a Detonating Egg.
