Clear dark brown with just a little bit of dishwasher soap head
Slight malty aroma pulls you in, then a deliciously well balanced mix of mostly dark malt flavors --- sweetish homemade wheat bread, maybe with just a twinge of brown sugar and some nutty notes and a small bite of bittering hops.
One of Belle Isle's best beers. I hope they move this off of being a beer of the week and into the regular rotation.
(In taste, this beer seems to be a bit between the porters/stouts and the Amber in flavor intensity in the Belle Isle lineup.)
