12 oz bottle into an IPA glass.
L- beautiful beer. Pours A beautiful clear copper with a thick white head, composed of rather small bubbles. No lacing or much retention, though.
A- very pleasant on the nose. Honey and toast from the malt. Tropical fruits from the hops.
T- definitely hop forward, however the malt is ever present. Very sweet, but not cloying. Honey is there.
M- this is kinda weird, but I like that in a beer. It seems to have a fairly big body for an IPA, but finishes extremely dry because of the addition of candi sugar. I like it
O- extremely solid beer. It rivals some of the big guys out there. I'll be coming back to this one on a regular basis. Well done!!

cool of my brother to pick up this random double ipa on a very successful beer shopping expedition in florida this week. its a petty one, but a weird one, and while im not in love with it, i like it for being different, which is almost always the case when beer is strange to me. almost perfect clear, deep golden in color, and with a tall rising head in my red wine glass. it smells a little while off of fully fresh, with some slight oxidation creeping in, maybe stored on a warm shelf, but its not offensive, and i can appreciate and enjoy the beer independently of this element, which appears to be no fault of the brewer. some slightly phenolic notes hit my nose, but the hops are cool juicy and tropical, with a sort of canned pineapple character and sweetness. it seems oddly malty, but i dont really figure that out until i taste it. definitely a sugar spike of some sort in here, as the booze is clean and prominent, there is more residual sugar than i like in the style, and it seems not totally grain derived, especially in the finish, almost a rock candy crystalline thing going on here. it brings out some of the sweet fruity hop notes though which i really like, pineapple again and maybe mango, fresh in this aspect. almost like a belgian ipa without the belgian yeast, if that makes sense, nicely carbonated, and bitter in the finish on top of the sweetness. i would like to try this one super fresh, but in the end it doesnt present itself to me as the kind of big ipa i generally prefer to drink. still a fun and unique beer to try on vacation with my family that i would have been unlikely to encounter any other way!

If you see this beer and like a real solid IPA, you've got to try it out. Yeah, it's a woman brewery, but it must be ran by one hell of a woman. I love this new brewery and the price is more than reasonable. This IPA is comparable to Dogfish 90 minute with a little sweet twist from the Belgian candied sugars added to the brewkettle. I'm excited to see what else comes from this brewery and hope it does well.

12oz bottle into a snifter. The aroma is very sweet, almost honey like sweetness. Also, the nose features floral/citrusy hops. The taste like the aroma starts out sweet with a lingering hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a perfect amount of carbonation. Overall, a really solid IPA.

Light copper in color with a fingernail of off white. Light lacing. Sharp citrus hop aroma is present. I taste sharp orange peel to grapefruit citrus hop flavor with intense bitterness. Some light malt flavor does appear at the back of the palate. The mouth is sticky and resinous.
