The big sister to an old fav "Jenny From The Bock" and an equally deep yet delicate lager for winter. This German style malt forward lager features Munich, Melanoidin and Dark Crystal malts... aka music to your tongue.

This was a birthday gift from my boy in August 2022 and drunk in October of that year.
L: Dark copper, turning to gold as the glass tapers off and the light interacts with the beer. Slow, steady carbonation. No head at all.
S: sweet, tangy and roasty caramel.
T: Juicy, tangy malt leaning towards dark caramel and creamy toffee as it warms. Alcohol is noticeable at first, coming through almost like a roasted note, but it fades as the beer warms, while the caramel impressions increase.
M: Smooth and full. Carbonation is barely evident on the swallow but it fits well with the entire package.
O: As with most strong, dark beers, this one improves immeasurably as it warms up, with the tanginess of the malt coming to the fore and turning this into a delightful experience. It's a German beer brewed by a Canadian and an Australian, and those three continents are combining seamlessly into a supercontinental, beer-filled delight.
Cheers!
