Big Blue Brewing Co

this is a neat spot, surprisingly large, they have an absolutely enormous taproom with the brewery in back, a long bar spanning the place, and then also a wrap around porch type patio with an additional bar outside, nice shade and breeze blowing, relaxing place to post up for a pint. its sort of weird, sports bar vibes with the brewery vibes, televisions all over the place make it less relaxing and conversational, but its not offensive, more of a choose your own adventure. they have a great beer list, more then ten of their own, and some very solid regional and national guest craft offerings. we all drank their beer, and some were better than others. an orange wit and a coffee stout were my two favorites, but a solid honey brown and passion fruit white ipa were also plenty palatable, and while the beer wasnt executed amazingly well by any stretch, the list at least featured some ambitious brews and innovation, which always goes a long way with me, something unique is often preferable for me to a very good amber ale or something, so i was happy here.i dont like seeing some of these beers in shaker pints, i mean, a belgian tripel in a pint? come on, i think thats kind of amateur these days, but whatever. all styles seemed covered, and they must be brewing a lot to have this many on at one time. seating for a couple hundred here easy though, im sure they go through it. this was a fun place to visit and seems to be one of the only breweries in cape coral, so definitely worth a visit if you are spending some time here. i thought the beer was fun and pretty decent, and the vibe was mellow and chill. we were treated very well by the staff too, despite an obvious lack of geeky beer knowledge. it feels like vacation here!
