Attractive shade of clear dark brownish red with adequate foam in the Brigand chalice. Hints of wintergreen or mint with the black malt nose. Light body, though malty. Graphics from the movie "Star Leaf," check it out. I am missing the apparent dankness, but it's the oddest, interesting, musty flavor.
Very unusual burnt taste to the malt, along with a warm caramel flavor. This gets a little too bitter by the end of the glass. Very dark. Winter is coming, as they say on Game of Thrones. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at the brewery tasting room on the way to Mill Creek.
