Poured from 32oz crowler into a dimpled mug. This is the 2021 version of Pocketful of Fresh Hops, with a number of C-hops as the fresh element, and clocking in at 6.7% ABV.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a clear body and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop. Nice!
Smell: sweet malt with an earthy hop character; it is a bit one-dimensional.
Taste: again, a rather sweet base with some piquant, citrusy hops. It's not bad, but it feels ... rough around the edges.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a moderate carbonation and okay creaminesss.
Overall: this beer just doesn't really tickle my fancy. I feel like it has imperfections that hold it back.
