This winter spiced red ale is full-bodied and has all of those wonderful warming spices you think of in a winter spiced ale including nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, clove, and allspice. Additionally, this beer helps to benefit the Union Symphony Orchestra to provide live music for the Union County Youth Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker each year.

A dark red ale. A little more bitter than I’m used to drinking. The spices though strong, are not overpowering. They balanced well with the richness of the grains and malty notes. It’s a great ale to drink by the fire.

On tap at Brews On the Alley in Seneca, SC.
Appearance. Dark, clear orange-brown body with a good beige head.
The aroma suggests an over spiced ale, with nutmeg leading the way. Tasting finds a more pleasant ale (approaching 4) than the aroma suggests. While there's plenty of spicing, it's more complex and interesting, and it's grounded in a solid base of medium and dark roasted grains. As expected, it improved with warming.
Overall. A seasonally spicy and nicely malty ale.
